Run hot and cold water while the walls are open
The second line was a small construction choice with a big daily payoff.
The easy moment to add hot water
We originally planned to bring only cold water to the sink. While the van was open, we realized that routing the second hot-water line required very little extra work. Adding it after the walls, cabinets, counter, and plumbing were finished would have been painful.
Plan the kitchen side
Leave reachable space below the sink for the faucet connections and drain. Avoid connections buried where they can never be inspected. Pressure-test and leak-test everything before closing the cabinet.
