Portable versus permanent cooking
A portable cooktop keeps the counter flexible; the power system still has to support it.
Our electric setup
Our oven/air fryer stays accessible below the counter. The electric cooktop comes out when we cook, plugs in on the countertop, and gets put away afterward. That lets the same surface handle cooking, preparation, and everyday clutter instead of surrendering part of it permanently.
