Chapter 24
Installation sequence
1. Freeze the drawing
Complete water-use model, tank/payload check, flow diagram, valve/drain schedule, fitting list and equipment manuals. Mark every service panel.
2. Mount tanks
Install supports, fill, vent, drain, level sensors and wastewater outlets before cabinetry blocks access. Dry-fit the whole system.
3. Supply side
Mount isolation, strainer, pump and accumulator; run cold trunk/manifold; mount heater; run hot branches; add filters and fixtures.
4. Drains and test
Install traps, vents, grey/black plumbing and dump valves. Pressure/leak test before walls, then flush, sanitize, commission and document.
Build rule
If you cannot reach it, isolate it, drain it and explain its pressure/temperature or water-quality job, it is not ready to hide behind a wall.
CHAPTER CHECK
• I can explain the purpose and failure mode of each item in this chapter. • I know which manufacturer limit or water-quality claim controls my choice. • I added the valve, access, drain, measurement or maintenance task to my drawing/checklist.
