Leak prevention
Common points
Leaks cluster at pump swivels, NPT adapters, heater ports, faucet tails, filter housings, clamps, tank penetrations and unsupported transitions. Minimize joint count.
Technique
Cut tubing square, deburr as required, fully seat fittings, use the exact crimp tool/gauge, place clamps behind barb ridges and torque threaded/plastic housings only to instructions.
Design for failure
Use isolation valves, drip pans/drains where safe, leak sensors near tank/pump/heater and accessible panels. Route water so a leak is visible before it reaches electrical equipment or insulation.
Vehicle motion
Add flexible transitions, proper supports and strain relief; recheck after first rough roads and temperature cycles. Do not use sealant as structural support.
Build rule
If you cannot reach it, isolate it, drain it and explain its pressure/temperature or water-quality job, it is not ready to hide behind a wall.
