Test the kitchen before calling it finished
Check structure, systems, openings, and retention empty—then loaded.
Test it empty
An empty test catches geometry and installation problems while they are still easy to fix.
- Push and pull the cabinet; inspect every mounting point.
- Confirm fridge ventilation and full door travel.
- Open the oven, drawers, and neighboring doors together.
- Fit a large pan in the sink and check faucet clearance.
- Run hot and cold water; inspect every reachable joint and the drain.
- Confirm outlet and service access.
Then load it
Evaluate movement safely while parked and through normal driving inspections. Do not create a dangerous emergency-braking test with unsecured furniture.
- Fill the pantry with realistic weight.
- Check drawer and appliance retention.
- Store heavy items low.
- Confirm the cooktop cord reaches without crossing the work area.
- Operate planned large loads within the electrical design.
- Secure loose appliances, knives, and sink items before driving.
