Our storage plan

The cabinet has six main storage areas for pantry food, pots and pans, cutlery and utensils, plates and bowls, trash, and cleaning products. We also use an upper cabinet and a recessed spice rack.

• Put frequently used items within easy reach.
• Keep heavy cookware low.
• Separate cleaning products logically from food.
• Do not block appliance ventilation.
• Protect plumbing and electrical service access.
• Do not waste premium drawer space on awkward items.

Expect the plan to change

Dedicated homes worked very well, but your first storage plan probably will not be your last. Living in the van reveals what you reach for and what deserves the best space.
