Chapter 23
Maintenance
Every trip/heat wave
Inspect external cover/awning security, condenser openings, drains, fan mounts and alarms. Clean loose debrisbefore operation.
Regular
Clean/replace evaporator filters, gently clean coils as directed, flush condensate, inspect refrigerant-lineinsulation, door pass-throughs, cable lugs and weather seals.
Seasonal
Test full-load current and temperature split under comparable conditions, verify sensor calibration, exerciseshutdown alarms and review battery capacity/charging balance.
Professional service
Oil residue, loss of cooling, frost, unusual compressor noise or refrigerant damage needs qualified diagnosis. Donot vent refrigerant or use leak-stop as routine repair.
System rule
Do not judge a cooling upgrade at the vent. Judge it by the hottest occupied zone, humidity, energy usedand whether the system can recover that energy safely.
CHAPTER CHECK
• I can explain which heat path this step addresses.• I measured its effect at front, middle and rear - not only by touch.• I added its power, failure mode, maintenance and safety action to the system plan.
