The three efficiency tweaks
Condenser-area shielding
We used leftover reflective insulation around the external A/C cover to reduce direct solar heating. Neverobstruct condenser intake, exhaust, drains or service openings; reflective additions that trap hot discharge willmake performance worse.
Refrigerant-line insulation
We covered accessible coolant/refrigerant lines, including the section through the door, to reduce unwantedheat exchange and protect the line. Use compatible closed-cell insulation and do not hide leaks or rub points.
Shorter power cable
Reducing unnecessary DC cable length lowered resistance/voltage drop. We observed about 5-10% lowerindicated power draw depending on mode after our combined tweaks. Treat this as our system observation, nota universal promise.
Electrical rule
Cable changes require correct ampacity, voltage-drop calculation, fuse placement, lugs and strain relief. Ashorter undersized cable is still unsafe; follow the A/C and battery-system manuals.
System rule
Do not judge a cooling upgrade at the vent. Judge it by the hottest occupied zone, humidity, energy usedand whether the system can recover that energy safely.
