Full-time shower

25-40 gal vented tank -> isolation/strainer/pump/accumulator -> cold manifold -> heater -> hot manifold -> sink/shower; point-of-use drinking treatment; vented grey tank.

Cold-weather

All supply equipment inside conditioned envelope; exterior fill isolated/drainable; heated/protected grey tank; low-point drains, heater bypass and temperature sensors.

International

Multiple fill adapters and jug-transfer pump; sediment prefilter; protected tank; point-of-use certified multi-barrier treatment with UV where validated; bottled/boiled fallback; consumable spares.

Build rule

If you cannot reach it, isolate it, drain it and explain its pressure/temperature or water-quality job, it is not ready to hide behind a wall.

CHAPTER CHECK

• I can explain the purpose and failure mode of each item in this chapter. • I know which manufacturer limit or water-quality claim controls my choice. • I added the valve, access, drain, measurement or maintenance task to my drawing/checklist.
