Maintenance

Routine

Inspect leaks and mounts, clean pump strainer/aerators, exercise valves, flush stagnant outlets, clean sink screens and observe pump cycling. Keep fill hose ends capped and separate from sewer gear.

Treatment equipment

Replace cartridges by certified capacity, pressure drop, source event or time - whichever comes first. Maintain UV lamp, quartz sleeve and alarm per manufacturer; UV lamps can glow yet deliver insufficient dose.

Tanks/heater

Sanitize based on use/storage/source history and manufacturer guidance. Flush/descale heater only with approved chemistry. Clean grey tank/sensors without mixing chemicals.

Spares

Carry pump connector/O-rings, strainers, correct clamps/crimp parts, filter cartridges, faucet aerators, valve caps, potable hose repair, leak tape for temporary external repair and the exact tools your fittings require.

Build rule

If you cannot reach it, isolate it, drain it and explain its pressure/temperature or water-quality job, it is not ready to hide behind a wall.
