Parts for the adaptable system
The rack is the common piece
Our build used padded surfboard crossbars, compatible awning-mounting brackets, bolts and hardware, and secure tie-down straps. The crossbars, padding and securement form the common rack system. The mounting bracket is the adapter that lets that system connect to the roof setup on the van.
Our bar length
We used 54-inch bars. Use that as a reference point for our build, not a template: bar length and position should work with the board, roof layout and strap routing you have planned.
