A simple drawer-front alignment trick

The method we used

The visible gaps are easiest to judge when the drawer is closed.

1. 1Build and install the drawer box.
2. 2Mark the future handle-hole locations.
3. 3Use those holes to attach the face temporarily.
4. 4Close the drawer and adjust the face until the gaps align.
5. 5Carefully reopen the drawer.
6. 6Screw the front permanently from inside.
7. 7Remove the temporary fasteners.
8. 8Use the same holes for the final handle.
