Moisture protection after a year
Ventilation, protected plywood, and what we found in humid climates.
Our two-part strategy
After drilling the platform, we painted the plywood with anti-mold paint before installing the mattress. Combined with airflow above and ventilation holes below, that protected surface has worked for us through the United States, Mexico, and humid Central America.

What we actually observed
Our setup has stayed dry after more than a year. We have found no humidity or mold problem underneath the mattress.
