AC distribution

Panel

The main breaker protects/disconnects the incoming feed; branch breakers protect individual conductors. Neutral and ground bars must be arranged for the selected source/bonding design. Use an enclosure and devices approved for the application.

Receptacles

Use proper boxes, strain relief and GFCI/RCD protection in required locations, especially near water and outdoors. Do not bury junctions behind finished walls. Test protection after installation and periodically.

Wire and terminals

Use cable approved for mobile/RV use and for the terminal type. Fine-stranded conductors may need ferrules or listed terminals; never tin a stranded end that goes under a screw unless expressly allowed, because solder can creep.

High loads

Induction, water heating, rooftop/mini-split A/C and ovens can consume most of a 15/20/30 A supply. Give major loads dedicated circuits where required and use load management when the source cannot carry them together.

Respect

AC voltage can kill, and a metal body increases consequence. If you cannot verify polarity, grounding, bonding, breaker sizing and source switching, hire a qualified professional.

Rule of thumb

If you cannot state the expected current, full conductor length, protection rating and manufacturer limit for a circuit, the circuit is not ready to build.
